Men With Cats

While it's perfectly acceptable for a man to own a dog, the idea of him having a cat, let alone admitting to liking them, appears to be a foreign concept to many. Aren't cats for women, the misinformed ask? The answer is, no. Don't believe me? Take a look at these images, evidence that some men do like cats. And we're not just talking any men; these are some pretty cool guys.

Cannes 2013

The official poster for this year's Cannes Film Festival is graced with an image of screen legends Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. Hollywood’s golden couple had a long connection to Cannes, beginning when their first film together, The Long Hot Summer (1958), was in competition at the festival and won Newman Best Actor. The Effect of the Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (1972) and The Glass Menagerie (1987), both of which were directed by Newman and stared Woodward, were also in competition with Woodward winning Best Actress for the former. The festival runs May 15-26 with Steven Spielberg heading the jury. For more info, visit here.

Paul & Joanne

Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward—one of the great Hollywood couples. They appeared together in ten films while she starred in five that he either directed or produced. Married for 50 years, he once said their long lasting marriage was due to "correct amounts of lust and respect" while Joanne described marriage to Paul as "being married to the most considerate, romantic man." To see them burn up the screen watch their first film together, The Long, Hot Summer (1958). Based on a series of William Faulkner stories, it's a tale of ambition, family secrets, and passion set in the steamy South. What more do you need?
