Happy Easter

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter! To start the celebrations, I've already broken out my Vosges Barcelona Exotic Flop-Eared Bunny made of chocolate, smoked almonds, and sea salt (for other bunnies, visit here). And yes, he lost an ear right after I snapped this photo. Brutal but oh so delicious. Have a great day everyone!

This year the crowds were out in force, enjoying the sunny weather. Women wore their prettiest and sometimes most inventive hats, including some ladies from the Ziegfeld Society (second photo).
Clothing aside, it was really all about the hats. In the past, women strove to display the most fashionable hats of the moment. Today, many of the hats were over the top or whimsical in their design.
At the end of the parade, people wandered off to their next destinations, their hats or bunny ears to be put away until next year.

Happy Easter
Happy Easter! I'm spending the morning getting ready to go over to Fifth Avenue and take in all the lovely Easter bonnets in the annual Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival. I've also got the classic musical on (TCM shows it faithfully every year). If you've never seen Judy Garland and Fred Astaire in Easter Parade (1948) please do. It will have you singing all day.
