A Kodak Kodachrome film test from 1922 (discovered on the blog Behind the Curtain). Check out Mae Murray, the girl with the bee-stung lips, at the end. The women are absolutely beautiful and yet it's so strange to see them in colour.

Just Breathe
The view from my hospital bed at Tisch Hospital at NYU Langone Medical Center. Photo: Michele.
Of all the things I had planned to do over Labour Day
Weekend, spending the time in hospital was not one of them. But that’s what
happened after I collapsed and was rushed to the ER where it was discovered
that I was suffering from pulmonary embolisms. It was made clear to me by all
the doctors that I came very close to dying, and I realize that I am one very
lucky girl. The whole experience has left me a bit weak and made me look at
things in a new light. I don’t have any grand words of wisdom on the meaning of
life but what I do know is that I’m going to
try and enjoy every day of mine.
So now I am home, resting and working on my breathing. That simple act—breathe in, breathe out, repeat—has become one of the most beautiful things in the world to me and something I will never take for granted again.
